Washington, DC (October 20, 2011) – Today, NATIONAL DEFENSE PAC announced their endorsement of Jeffrey M. Frederick for election to the Virginia State Senate.

NATIONAL DEFENSE PAC Chairman, Rear Admiral [Ret.] James J. Carey stated, “Jeff Frederick has NATIONAL DEFENSE PAC’s full support for election to the Virginia Senate. He is exactly the kind of leader we want in the Virginia legislature standing up and fighting for our military veterans and today’s young Americans serving in our Armed Forces. He, as a military veteran, understands what it takes to train, fight and win. He also understands the importance of ensuring the decision to commit our military is right before we send our Nation’s most precious asset, our sons and daughters, into harm’s way.”

Jeff was in the U.S. Navy Reserves from ’96-’97, during which he attended Officer Candidate School at NAS Pensacola, and prepared for his primary flight training until an injury ceased his training.

Jeffrey M. Frederick served three terms in the Virginia House of Delegates. He is the first and only Latino ever elected to the Virginia legislature. When elected to the legislature, Jeff was the youngest member of the General Assembly, and when elected chairman, was the youngest state GOP Chief in the nation.

Jeff is active in a number of local and national political organizations, including the Club for Growth; the Republican National Hispanic Assembly; America’s Future Foundation; and the Council for National Policy. He is Chairman of Virginia’s Future PAC.

Jeff also served on the Civilian-Military Council at Marine Corps Base Quantico and is a graduate of the FBI Citizen’s Academy. He has been active with Virginia Citizen’s League, the Masons, and a past member of the board of directors for the National Capitol Area Chrysalis/Emmaus community.

Dan Backer, National Defense PAC legal counsel and acting Executive Director, stated, “NATIONAL DEFENSE PAC has earned a reputation for endorsing winning candidates because they back men and women of proven integrity, forged in selfless military service. The American people rightfully trust our military, and these Patriots are ready & able to lead this nation. Our goal in 2012 is to elect as many real heroes as we can.”

Richmond, Virginia (September 27, 2011) – Two prominent small business groups announced their endorsements of former Delegate Jeff Frederick in the 36th district race for Virginia Senate.

The National Federation of Independent Business, Virginia’s leading small-business association, made its endorsement by NFIB/Virginia SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, which is comprised exclusively of NFIB members. NFIB has 6,000 small-business members throughout the Commonwealth.

“Jeff Frederick understands the challenges facing Virginia’s small, family businesses and is the clear choice in Senate District 36,” said Nicole Riley, state director of NFIB/Virginia. “We believe Jeff will take a fiscally responsible approach to managing state government and support legislation that helps our small businesses grow and create jobs and puts the Commonwealth back on the pathway to success,” she added.

In addition, the Virginia Small Business Partnership, an advocacy body for the Virginia small business, also announced its support for Frederick.

“We recognize your background as a successful small businessman and your record in fighting for small businesses during your time in the House of Delegates, and believe that you will be a leader in the Senate in improving the envionrment for small businesses to thrive, create jobs, and lead in the economic recovery here in the Commonwealth,” said Paul Miller, Chairman of the Virginia Small Business Partnership.

”Small business is the engine of Virginia’s economy and our state’s largest employer. Unfortunately, job creation has not been the Virginia Senate’s top priority, but it needs to be,” said Frederick, a former Chairman of the Virginia Small Business Commission. “It’s time for the Senate to stop being the roadblock on moving Virginia forward, especially in attracting businesses, creating jobs, and growing the economy. For Virginia to prosper, our small businesses must prosper, yet too many Richmond politicians see small businesses as sources of government revenue, rather than creators of jobs,” he added.

###

NFIB is the nation’s leading small business association, with offices in Washington, D.C. and all 50 state capitals. Founded in 1943 as a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, NFIB gives small- and independent-business owners a voice in shaping the public policy issues that affect their business. NFIB’s powerful network of grassroots activists sends its views directly to state and federal lawmakers through our unique member-only ballot, thus playing a critical role in supporting America’s free enterprise system. NFIB’s mission is to promote and protect the right of our members to own, operate and grow their businesses.

The Virginia Small Business Partnership was formed in 2010 as an advocacy body for Virginia small businesses and to form relationship between Virginia policymakers and small business owners. It is the Partnership’s goal to advocate for policies that improve Virginia’s small business environment and help grow the economy.

Dumfries, Virginia (August 18, 2011) – Delegate Mark Cole of Stafford County announced today his endorsement of Jeff Frederick for the Republican nomination in the 36th State Senate race.

“I’m endorsing Jeff Frederick in the Tuesday, August 23rd Republican Primary because I worked with Jeff in the House of Delegates for 6 years, and saw him defend our conservative principles in Richmond,” Cole said. “Jeff had a perfect voting record from the NRA, the Virginia Society for Human Life and the Family Foundation. We need Jeff Frederick’s strong conservative voice in the Virginia State Senate.”

Jeff Frederick commented, “For the last decade, Mark Cole has been the voice of conscience in the Virginia House of Delegates. However, too much good legislation is passing the House of Delegates and being stopped in the State Senate. If we’re going to change politics as usual in Virginia, we need to change the Virginia Senate so that progress won’t be continuously blocked by the job-killing tax hikers who currently control that chamber.”

The new 36th State Senate district stretches from Alexandria down Route 1 to Stafford County. There are four Stafford precincts in the new district:

Rock Hill precinct votes at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church

Griffis precinct votes at Anne E. Moncure Elementary School

Widewater precinct votes at Widewater Elementary School

Barrett precinct votes Kate Waller Barrett Elementary School

The Republican Primary is on Tuesday, August 23rd. The winner will face incumbent Toddy Puller in the November 8th General Election.
